In the United States, 96% of the population believes in God - 88% consider themselves Christians.  Religion is the most important aspect of American life after family, friends, health and time.  Two thirds (2/3) of American adults agree with the statement, “The Christian faith has all the answers to leading a successful life” and annually, attendance at religious functions totals 5.6 billion with contributions to religious organizations estimated at $56.7 Billion.  More Americans turn out for worship in one month than attend all professional sports functions combined all year!

 

Seven of ten adults agreed that, “people’s prayers have the power to change their circumstances - (49% of all Americans strongly agree). NBC News’ Dateline program cites a Time Magazine poll stating 69% of Americans believe in miracles.  NBC’s own poll showed 79% believe.
